Cambodia to Host Parliamentary Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue on Responsible Investment for Food and Climate Security

The National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia will host a two-day meeting on “Parliamentary Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue on Responsible Investment for Food and Climate Security: Advancing the ASEAN Agenda on Responsible Investment in Food, Agriculture and Forestry” from Aug. 25 to 26, 2026, at the National Assembly.
The event will be organised by the National Assembly in cooperation with the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) Secretariat and with support from the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO).
The meeting will bring together delegates attending in person and virtually via Zoom, including AIPA members, Cambodian parliamentarians, civil society organisations, national and international development partners, and senior officials and representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the Ministry of Environment, and the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology.
H.E. Kitti Setha Pundit Cheam Yeap, First Vice President of the National Assembly, will preside over the opening ceremony and deliver the opening remarks on the morning of Aug. 25.
The meeting will feature presentations by experts from FAO, representatives of the AIPA Secretariat, specialised National Assembly committees and relevant ministries. Participants will exchange views and share experiences on strengthening parliamentary understanding and multi-stakeholder cooperation on the interconnected issues of food security, climate resilience and responsible investment in the food, agriculture and forestry sectors.
The discussions will be held in line with the ASEAN Guidelines on Promoting Responsible Investment in Food, Agriculture and Forestry and the ASEAN RAI Implementation Framework for Responsible Investment in Food, Agriculture and Forestry 2024-2030 (ASEAN RAI 2024-2030).
The two-day event will feature four main policy dialogues:
Policy Dialogue 1: Climate-Resilient Food Systems and Responsible Agricultural Investment: Advancing the ASEAN RAI Agenda.
Policy Dialogue 2: Advancing the ASEAN RAI Agenda for Food Security: Understanding the Economic Dimensions of Responsible Investment.
Policy Dialogue 3: Strengthening Parliamentary Action and Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships for Food Security and Climate: Advancing the ASEAN RAI Agenda.
Policy Dialogue 4: From Dialogue to Action: The Role of Parliamentarians in Food Security, Climate Resilience and Responsible Investment.
The meeting will conclude with a closing ceremony chaired by H.E. Suos Yara, Chairman of the National Assembly's Commission on Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Information, on the morning of Aug. 26.
