Kandal Delegation Visits Mong Reththy Agri-Tourism Site to Gain Insights from Industry Titan
AKP Phnom Penh, August 24, 2026 --
A delegation of nearly 700 provincial leaders, civil servants, and commune/Sangkat youth representatives from Kandal province completed a study tour to the Mong Reththy Sen Chey Agri-Tourism Zone in Samrong Torng district on Sunday.
The delegation was warmly received by H.E. Dr. Mong Reththy, Chairman of the Senate's 3rd Commission and Senate representative for Region 7, along with Kandal Provincial Governor H.E. Kouch Chamroeun.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Chamroeun highlighted the trip's purpose: to provide local officials and youth with a firsthand view of practical development and to instill a growth mindset through H.E. Dr. Reththy's career trajectory.
"H.E. Dr. Mong Reththy is not only a senior legislative leader but a national icon and titan in Cambodia’s agricultural sector who built his success from scratch," he stated, noting that H.E. Dr. Mong Reththy’s initiatives transformed vacant land into a vibrant agri-tourism site, creating thousands of jobs and fueling local economic growth.
Governor Chamroeun urged the youth delegation to apply H.E. Dr. Mong Reththy's insights as a guide for personal growth, career development, and public service, emphasising patriotism, competence, and commitment to community enrichment.
During the session, H.E. Dr. Mong Reththy shared his journey in developing the Sen Chey zone, outlining how the area was reshaped into a model agricultural hub combining agro-industrial cultivation and eco-tourism to boost regional employment and living standards.
