AKP Phnom Penh, January 11, 2025 --
Cambodia’s national flag carrier – Cambodia Angkor Air – has been officially rebranded as Air Cambodia, as it promises to continuously expand its domestic and international route network.
The official launch of the airline’s new name was held on Jan. 10 in the Phnom Penh with hundreds of representatives from civil aviation and tourism industries, experts and scholars, among other participants.
Mr. Zhan David, Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Air Cambodia, said 2024 was an extraordinary year in which Air Cambodia achieved breakthrough results in market performance, safe operations, service quality, fleet growth, corporate culture, and local talent development, further enhancing its influence in the international aviation market.
“Air Cambodia played an increasingly important role in promoting people-to-people exchanges and economic and trade cooperation between Central China, Cambodia, and ASEAN,” he said.
Air Cambodia is the only Cambodian airline to have obtained IOSA safety audit certification and Skytrax's three-star.
In 2024, Air Cambodia also successfully purchased three new aircrafts, steadily moving towards a fleet size of 32.
The airline has announced flight route between Phnom Penh and Bangkok, starting from Feb. 17, 2025.
Additionally, Air Cambodia plans to open flights route to Japan, South Korea, and other destinations as soon as possible, with plans to launch intercontinental routes around 2026.
